All 5 Prof. Jonathan Gruber Tapes – Stupid Quotes & Lack of Transparency in ObamaCare

The Michael Scott of the ObamaCare Office

– November 15, 2014 –

Is it just me, or does Prof. Jonathan Gruber resemble the Steve Carell character Michael Scott from The Office?

Videos document intentional lack of transparency in ObamaCare

Prof. Jonathan Gruber certainly has the Michael Scott talent for making inappropriate comments. The kind that make you flinch because of how clueless he seems to be, and how inappropriate his comments really are. This is probably how he addresses his students, behind closed doors where it’s never been an issue, and even expected. He apologized to America for actually verbalizing the intentional obfuscation, lies, wealth transfer agenda and more behind the general lack of transparency in ObamaCare.

“In principle we want to get rid of this (the health insurance tax deduction)”

This next 2.5 minute video was very disturbing. Listen to what Prof. Jonathan Gruber says about eliminating the health insurance premium tax deduction to increase tax revenue $250 billion a year. What’s even more disturbing is how they achieved the same annual tax revenue through the back door; by taxing the “evil health insurance companies” $250 billion annually (implied). Which was passed on to the consumer in rate increases. They just added the tax back to your premium indirectly.

Slide forward to about 45 seconds in:

I quote, “If we taxed health insurance the way we tax wages in America, we would raise $250 billion dollars per year more. That’s twice what it would cost to cover every uninsured American with health insurance today, twice. “

Skip a few seconds and at 1:30 into the video,  Prof. Jonathan Gruber says:

“In principle we want to get rid of this.” Don’t miss this. This is key. That’s the key comment, in principle they want to get rid of the health insurance tax deduction. They did “get rid of it”, through the backdoor, by taxing insurance carriers, and top income earners. Who indirectly just passed it back to you.

But wait, there’s more, as the commercial used to say………. plus you get more premium rate increases because of all the new “ACA/ObamaCare minimum standards” (such as ‘no annual, or lifetime maximums’) that caused health insurance premiums to skyrocket in cost for working class people. So you get the tax bill from the insurance carrier, and the bill for all the new minimum standards the government now requires that you purchase. And don’t think the new taxes for high income earners won’t somehow get passed on as well. It’s a crippling financial blow to healthcare industry and the American people who are still suffering from the effects of the “Great Recession”.

Here Comes Gruber Tape Number Five

“Was this written by my adolescent children by any chance?”

by Jeff Dunetz

A fifth video of Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber was released by Watchdog.com on Friday. It shows his continued lack of respect for the average American. This time he’s not calling all Americans stupid, or saying the Cadillac Tax was written to fool the economically illiterate. This time he is attacking one voter who sent the Vermont House Health Care Committee a letter stating his concerns about Obamacare. Gruber’s response to the letter was a snarky,“Was this written by my adolescent children by any chance?”

In the video (below) Feb 18, 2011 meeting of the Vermont House Representatives committee, Gruber listens to Democratic committee Chairman Mark Larson read a letter from a Vermont citizen who is concerned that Obamacare will lead to “ballooning costs, increased taxes and bureaucratic outrages,” among other things.

After Larson finishes reading the Vermonter’s letter, Gruber said mockingly, “Was this written by my adolescent children by any chance?” The room erupted in laughter.
