Helping employers choose the right Health Reimbursement Arrangement
Continuing its program to help educate employers on the tax-saving benefits and responsibilities of employer-sponsored group health plans, Core Documents, Inc., releases a line of brochures explaining its tax-saving Core HRA products to help employers choose the right Health Reimbursement Arrangement. Each brochure has all an employer needs to know to determine the best HRA design for their business, order the correct HRA Plan Document package, and then set up their plan.
Brochures in the HRA series are:
- Core HRA – The Core HRA for 2 or more employees comes in four basic plan designs. The brochure explains all of these. The most popular Core HRA design is the Deductible Gap model. It allows employers to choose a high-deductible health plan and then fund the increase in employee deductibles with the HRA portion of the plan.
- Core 105 – The one-person HRA is most often used by small businesses where one spouse is an employee. Health insurance premiums, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket expenses are paid through the HRA. The tax savings in a Core 105 plan usually far exceed those via the medical deduction on a 1040 Schedule A.
- Core QSE-HRA – Employers already exempt from the ACA mandate (those with fewer than 50 full-time employees) can reimburse employees for all or part of individual health insurance premiums paid with the Core QSE-HRA.
- Core Admin – All HRA Plan Document packages come with an employer guide for self-administration, but many employers prefer to not deal with the daily claims, account changes, and especially the liability that comes with HIPAA privacy law. For these employers, Core Documents offers the convenience of cloud-based administration for as little as $10 per month.
